McCaig’s Warehouse is prominently positioned on the heritage Wharf, on the Railway Pier at Oban. It is situated just in front of the ferry to the Isles terminal and by the side of the Oban Railway Station and is therefore in a prime location for the ferry passengers when either embarking or disembarking.
The Town of Oban itself is a popular harbour town with nearly half a million people visiting the area each year. It is called the Gateway to the Isles and many people visit the area simply to take the excursions to the Isles of Mull & Iona. There are many attractions such as the Oban Distillery and of course McCaig’s Tower. The main reason for the construction of the tower in 1897 was to provide work for the local stonemasons and to create an observation tower.
Look forward to seeing you all.
